In 2012, Don Schmedeke had just retired, and found gardening a little too part-time. He began exploring a new hobby with a dehydrator and few Fuji apples.
By the next year, Don’s dried apple chips, were a local hit in the Ozarks. With guidance from MaMa Jean’s, Don refined his process to include organic apples. This made his formula complete: no added sugar or fats, and only clean ingredients.
Fast forward to today, Don’s Snacks include not only three kinds of apple chips, but also three kinds of dried kale. Who knows what his kitchen will cook up next!
