Making your own foaming hand soap has never been easier. You can easily reuse foaming soap dispensers by making your own refill soap. Homemade foaming hand soap is free of harsh chemicals and endocrine disruptors.
Why use Foaming Soap?
-
Save Money! People typically use less soap when it foams. This makes foaming soap an economical, longer lasting choice!
-
Save Water! 15% less water is used when lathering up with foaming soap. If you only use water to rinse your hands and don't add water for the initial hand washing, using foaming soap will save 45% of the water used during traditional hand washing.
-
Save the Waste! Reduced packaging waste! By refilling your dispenser you can reduce packaging waste by recycling.
What You Need:
-
Foaming Soap Dispenser (reuse one you already have or buy a reusable glass foaming dispenser)
-
12 oz Distilled or Filtered Water
-
2-3 Tablespoons of Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Soap
-
1 teaspoon Carrier Oil (Olive oil, Vitamin E Oil, or Almond Oil)
-
10 drops Pranarom Essential Oils (we like Lemon or Good Samaritan)
What You Do:
-
Fill a foaming soap dispenser with a little more than ¾ full of water.
-
Pour in liquid Castile Soap.
-
Add Carrier oil and essential oils.
-
Gently swirl the bottle to mix ingredients.
You may have to experiment with the ratios of your DIY foaming hand soap to see which consistency you prefer. Adding too much soap can clog the pump. If that happens, just pour out a bit and add more water.
